Puberty Medley Synopsis and Review

Hey guys its Ms. Lee Minho, today I am reviewing a super short drama. I haven’t been reviewing  a lot of dramas lately I don’t know why;  there has just been a lot of kpop stuff that I wanted to talk about. So the drama is called, Medley of Puberty it came out In 2013 July 10th and ended on July 31st, 2013. The drama is only about 4 eps long but more than an hour each ep. It’s truly one of those dramas in which you are super sad that it ends and it is not long enough, a lot more could have been done with it. It was freaking incredible.
Choi Jung-Woo is always moving cities, towns, and schools. His family never settles because of his father’s job. He decided when he was small not to be-friend students because he knows he would eventually move. He moves to a small town and he goes there with the same expectations. He then agrees to fight with Lee Yeok-Ho who is the toughest guy but he is also very sweet and caring if you get to know him. He also decided to accept to sing in the school contest that will be aired on T.V. He then asks Yang A-Young who is the presidents of the class to be his girlfriend and she surprisingly says yes. He does this thinking that he is going to move to Seoul in two weeks but something unexpected happens which makes his time in that school very memorable.
This drama was far fetched; it’s a very simple high drama with friendship and romance.  Simple dramas like this that are good are hard to find once you have been watching dramas for a long time. The actors did an incredible job; the main actor Kwak Dong-Yeon who played Choi Jung-Woo did boundless which this was his first lead role. A scene that I watched which I can’t forget about  was when Lee Yeok-Ho who is played by Choi Tae-Joon is getting beat up for some reasons then Jung-Woo’s friend  Im Deok-Won  played by Kwak Jung-Wook decides to get in the fight remember this kid is always getting bullied and so he gets his ass kicked. At that moment Kwak knows that he should enter the fight to defend the friend but he instead runs always because he just couldn’t do it. Usually we see the main character getting into the fight without thinking about it twice and at the end he is able to beat up everyone. This showed how a high school student really is; it displayed him as an awkward, weak character still trying to figure himself out. He is able to relate to many high school students who are his age. I really liked that he wasn’t that strong 16 year old hero; he was just a normal boy who was too scared to fight.  I liked watching Kwak Jung-Wook act in this drama because he character was totally different from the roles he played in school 2013 and Shut Up flower Boy Band this time he was getting bullied and he look adorable instead of being a jerk.  I also enjoyed the love between Choi’s character and Yang A-Young played by Lee Se-Young; it was a very innocent high school love; an unforgettable one as well. They don’t have to worry about having rich parents keeping them apart they just have to worry about school which in reality that is how high school love is. Towards the end they start having some problems but not super stressful ones like other dramas. What I loved the most about the drama is that my Love Jonghyun from CNBlue came out; I totally freaked. Overall this drama is a great watch.

If you want an innocent, simple, high school love and friendship drama this one is perfect. It is very short and by the end of it you will be wanting more but at the same time you will be satisfied with what happened. The soundtrack was great I enjoyed watching the intro for every ep and I still listen to it. I recommend this drama to everyone so go please go watch it, I beg you.
